Capturing Video From The Web

Capture and convert video with RealPlayer Downloader, Tube TV, or websites. If none of these work, ask Ms. Kim if she is able to capture it for you.
Capture using Realplayer Downloader
Open RealPlayer Downloader.
Open Firefox. (Does not work with Safari or Google Chrome.)

Find the video you wish to capture. YouTube is the example in the picture.

If the video is capturable, it will show up in the RealPlayer Downloader window and will also show a number on the icon on the dock.
When the video is fully downloaded in the RealPlayer Downloader window, click on the Download button next to your video.
Click on the Convert button.
RealPlayer Converter will open. Click on the Start button at the bottom of the window.
Your video should download to your desktop with a .m4v extension.

As an alternate, you can use TubeTV to convert your files.
Open TubeTV.
Click on File and choose Convert Files
Choose the file you wish to convert and click Open.
The TubeTV Progress window will open.
When it is finished converting, you will find your file saved in the same place you got the original. It will be the one with the .m4v extension.

As an alternate, you can use these websites to capture and convert your files.
KeepVid: Download and save any video from Youtube, Dailymotion, Metacafe, iFilm and more!
Copy and paste the url of the webpage where you found your video into the window on the KeepVid page. You will be given an option of several videos to download. If you choose .flv you will have to convert it to .m4v (See options above)
