French 101-102 Lab Audio Instructions
and Insturctions for Saving the Files to Dr. Wiseman's Computer

 

Double click on the hard drive icon.
Choose Documents in the left hand panel of the window.
Double click on the French 101-102 Motifs Garageband files folder. Double-click on the sound file you want to open. The track numbers correspond with the track numbers in the lab workbook.
Go up to the File menu and click on Save As...
Replace Your name and date (1) with your own name and the date and save it to the to the (2) Desktop. (Track number and then your own name and the date.) Then click Save (3).
Before you can record you need to make sure that the red button (1) on the lower track is on. If it is off, click on it and it will turn red. Make sure the red button is off on the upper track. Make sure you click inside the lower track to make it active. To record, you click on the red button at the bottom of the window (2). To stop recording you click on the play button (3).
When you are finished, save it again. (File then Save).
Then Quit the program
Double click on the hard drive icon again.
In the left hand panel of the window, click on Network (1), then click on My Network (2), then click on WisemanDM-Mac (3) and then click the Connect button (4).
Click on the Guest button and then click on Connect.
Choose Dennis’ Public Folder then click OK.

Click on the globe called Dennis’s Public Folder (1) then drag your lab exercise into the Drop Box (2).

Next, click on the up arrow (3) next to the Dennis’s Public Folder globe and eject the drive Dennis’s Public Folder.

Then you're done.
